A modern love story: Bridal editorial at De Kruitfabriek in Amsterdam

This winter editorial at De Kruitfabriek Amsterdam was all about mood — deep reds, rich burgundy tones, and that soft winter light that instantly sets the vibe. The styling was sleek and modern, designed to feel elevated but still effortlessly cool, with clean lines and textures that worked perfectly with the venue’s high ceilings and massive windows, two of its most striking features. For the ceremony setup, beautiful draping softened the industrial space and created a dreamy, intimate atmosphere.

Our bride wore stunning, fashion-forward gowns by Hanna Peters, adding movement and a touch of high-fashion drama while keeping that real, grounded energy. Her first look for the ceremony — a modern gown with an open back paired with feathered gloves — brought a playful, editorial twist that set the tone for the entire shoot. Her look was completed with glam Hollywood waves and makeup by Lauren Duk, enhancing the bride’s natural beauty in a soft, radiant way.

For the second look, the bride slipped into a silky dress styled with a feathery shawl, bringing that effortless, cool-girl elegance. A bold red lip tied it all together, perfectly complementing the burgundy draping and rich floral installation by House of Artz. Adding a final touch of chic, champagne was served in sleek silver glasses and the couple cut a cake by Patisserie de Luxe, completing the luxurious, editorial atmosphere.

The final look was a rose glittery gown paired with sleek hair and a bold red lip, delivering a striking, glamorous finish to the shoot.

As the day turned into evening, the space transformed into a luxurious dinner setting. Tables were arranged in a U-shape, styled with tall candles and simple calla lily flowers, creating an intimate yet elegant atmosphere. The entire design was brought together by The Wedding Assistant and House of Artz, with elegant stationery by Cardwise Stationery, tying the editorial concept seamlessly from start to finish.
