WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

Photography has been part of my life since I was a child, as it runs in my family. My grandfather was a photographer himself, and since I can remember we had family portraits and boxes of photographs stacked everywhere possible in my family home. These photographs became precious heirlooms full of memories and milestones that transported me to another time and place, helped me experience these incredible moments I was never a part of and remembered to cherish fleeting memories.

I was passed down my first analog camera when I was 13, and have been snapping ever since. I then pursued a degree in photography and have worked as a commercial photographer & creative director since 2010.

I love capturing honest moments and emotions that people experience. Carrying out Wedding Photography as a profession is an incredible honour. Given the trust of my clients means the world to me. My photography style is very relaxed and candid, I don’t mould your story into a false narrative to fit a standard wedding template. Instead, I hope to capture a unique and truthful story that preserves the memories of one of the most important days of your lives. I capture the stories that become heirlooms which you can hand down through future generations.

Things that make me happy: black coffee, walks in nature, cake for breakfast, autumn season, gardening, the smell of rain.

FAQ

Q: How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been photographing since the age of 13. Later in life I did a degree in photography, so I am educated in the field. After I moved to London, I pursued a career in commercial & fashion photography and creative direction. I’ve been taking photos professionally for 12 years now.

Q: Where are you based? Do you travel?

I am based in Utrecht, Netherlands. I cover the Netherlands and the rest of Europe. My wedding photography journey started in the UK where I lived for over a decade, but I have also documented weddings in Slovakia, Spain and Ireland as my husband is Irish. Are you getting married abroad? I would love to join you on your special adventure! For weddings outside of the Netherlands travel costs* will be added to the package of your choice.

*Travel costs include transport to the destination plus the accommodation for one night.

Q: What languages do you speak?

I was born and raised in Czechoslovakia and I lived in the UK for over a decade, so I speak fluent Slovak, Czech and English. I am now learning Dutch and I am hoping to speak it fluently someday.

Q: How soon would we need to book you?

Couples tend to book me up to 12 months in advance of their wedding day. If you are interested in me photographing your big day, especially if it’s on a peak weekend date, please don't delay as I don’t like to disappoint people. I often wish there were 2 of me so I could photograph everyone's special day.

Q: How do we book you?

In order to secure your date, a booking fee of 500€ is required, along with a signed contract. Dates are only secured once both booking fee has been received and contract has been signed! The remainder of the balance is due 4 weeks before the wedding date.

Q: Can we have the raw files?

No. Unfortunately this isn't something I make available to my couples. Firstly, the files are huge, secondly, they look nothing like the final result. A huge amount of love and effort goes into creating and curating your final gallery of photographs.

Q: How long does it take to get our photos delivered?

This depends on the package and coverage you choose. Editing and uploading to an online gallery takes anywhere between 3-5 weeks. If completion will take any longer than 5 weeks, I will notify you as soon as possible.

Yes, I have both equipment and public liability insurance.

Q: Are you insured?

I'd love to hear from you!
